Why IDATHA exists

South Africans pay for AI they cannot easily use on the admin that actually fills their week. IDATHA closes that gap: a free AI agent that turns an AI account you already have into an agent that knows this country.

The problem with generic AI

A general assistant is fluent about the world and useless about your municipality. It does not know how the Rental Housing Tribunal works, what a vehicle disc renewal needs, or which number to call about a disputed rates account. Asked anyway, it will invent something plausible — a contact number, a fee, a deadline — and you will only find out when it costs you a morning.

IDATHA takes the opposite approach. It supplies the South African material, and it refuses to invent what it cannot source.

What we actually provide

The agent — not the brain, and not the app. You already have WhatsApp or Telegram, and your agent works there, so there is nothing to install and no new number to hand out. You bring an AI key from a provider you already trust and pay. We provide the agent itself, per-user memory, scheduled tasks and a large curated South African knowledge base, plus the skills that turn an assistant into an agent — your invoices and quotes as real documents, receipts filed, meetings written up and remembered, chasing what you are owed, research and booking.

The agent is free. The skills are not, because they cost us to run and support. That is the whole commercial model, and it is deliberately simple.

What we will not do

Your agent will never move money, complete a payment, hold a bank login, or enter a card number or a verification code. It prepares, then hands over to you. We consider that boundary permanent, not a launch limitation.

Where your data lives

Your AI provider key is encrypted at rest and used only for your own requests. Your message history and memory stay on our infrastructure in South Africa, and they are not used to train public models. You can have them deleted at any time.
